Music Therapy sessions are typically 30-60 minutes and in most cases, Lake Erie Music Therapy will provide all materials and equipment. Services include a comprehensive music therapy assessment, consisting of an interview with the parent/caregiver (and client if applicable) as well as participation in music therapy interventions. From the assessment, measurable, non-musical goals and objectives for therapy are determined based on the therapist’s observations and input from the parent/caregiver.

Music Therapy sessions can be conducted in a variety of settings, including in-home, hospitals, residential facilities, out-patient clinics, and schools.

Group Music TherapyLake Erie Music Therapy

Group Music Therapy sessions are typically 30-60 minutes and in most cases, Lake Erie Music Therapy will provide all materials and equipment. Small groups (3-6 participants) typically consist of members who have common goals and are of similar functioning level. Group therapy sessions are less intensive and generally billed at a lower cost per individual.

Large groups (7+ individuals) are typically focused on participation and may have one or two general foci or themes.

Music Therapy session can be conducted in various settings, including in-home, hospitals, residential facilities, out-patient clinics, and schools.

Co-TreatmentLake Erie Music Therapy Group and Individual Therapy

Co-treatment is a session in which the music therapist collaborates with a Speech Language Pathologist, Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, Behavior Analyst, or other health professional. These sessions can be scheduled as needed and are typically between 15-60 minutes.

In most cases, Lake Erie Music Therapy will provide all materials and equipment. Music Therapy session can be conducted in various settings, including in-home, hospitals, residential facilities, out-patient clinics, and schools.

Adapted music lessons are typically 30-60 minutes. Individual lessons are custom tailored for those living with developmental, behavioral, or physical challenges.

Music therapists are trained to understand a wide variety of disabilities and medical conditions. Lessons are adapted to the individual’s learning style, functioning level, strengths and needs.
